漏電起痕試驗機采用矩形鉑電，兩對試樣的作用力分別為1.0N±0.05N.施加電壓在100～600V（48～60Hz）之間可調，短路電流在1.0±0.1A時，電壓下降應不超過10%，當試驗回路中，短路漏電電流等于或大于0. 時，時間維持2秒鐘，繼電器動作，切斷電流，指示試品不合格。滴液裝置時間常數可調，控制滴液量大小44～50滴/cm3和滴液時間間隔30±5秒。
